ORTHOBIOLOGIC

Treatment with the body's own serum represents a novel treatment method for the treatment of wear-related joint complaints as well as muscle and tendon injuries.

The therapy is based on the assumption that growth factors contained in the blood of the human, but also the body's own anti-inflammatory factors, can positively influence different healing processes. By means of certain factors in the blood, therefore, healing and development processes in the damaged tissue should be stimulated. First, but not yet conclusive studies confirm corresponding improvements in the course of pain and mobility.

Treatment with the body's own serum is therefore an innovative treatment. Ultimately scientifically proven the effectiveness is not yet.

When can the serum therapy help?
The serum therapy can help according to the current state of knowledge in painful mild to moderate arthrosis (arthrosis grade I-III) and fresh muscle and tendon injuries.

How does a serum therapy work?
A small amount of blood is removed from the arm vein as if for a blood test. Through a special separation process, the part of the blood is recovered that contains the body's own regenerative components. The plasma thus obtained is then injected into the affected tissue.
